Find out who bills you
Check your bank or card statement first. The merchant name tells you who to cancel with:
| Statement shows | Cancel with |
|---|---|
| FUBO.TV or FUBOTV INC | Fubo directly |
| ROKU or ROKU FOR FUBO | Roku |
| APPLE.COM/BILL or ITUNES | Apple |
| GOOGLE *FUBO | Google Play |
| AMZN or AMAZON DIGITAL | Amazon — unconfirmed, see below |
Or search your email for Fubo welcome or Fubo receipt — the sender tells you.
Two of these we could not confirm. We verified that Apple does not currently sell Fubo as an in-app purchase, using a control test to prove the check works. We could not establish whether Google Play or Amazon currently bill for Fubo. That is not the same as saying they don’t — it means we could not confirm it either way, and we would rather tell you that than guess. If your statement shows one of those names, cancel through that provider using the steps below.
Fubo’s own check: sign in at fubo.tv/subscription. If it shows your details and next billing date, Fubo bills you. If it says Roku Subscription, Roku bills you.

A note on Fubo’s own instructions. Fubo’s cancellation article documents only two billing paths, its own and Roku. If someone else bills you, that article will not help you, and neither will Fubo’s support team, because whoever takes your money is the only party who can stop taking it.
If Apple bills you
Apple doesn’t sell new Fubo subscriptions — but may still be billing you if you signed up years ago. Fubo’s App Store listing shows the app as Free with no in-app purchases (verified 28 July 2026 against the listing). Apple keeps charging existing subscribers after a developer removes its in-app purchase products, so an old sign-up can still be live even though nobody can start one that way today.
If that’s you:
fubo.tv/subscriptionwon’t show your subscription — Fubo isn’t billing you, and neither its help article nor its support team can act on an Apple charge.- Cancel at: iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Fubo → Cancel Subscription. On Mac: App Store → your name → Account Settings → Subscriptions.
If Apple shows no Fubo subscription and you’re still being charged, Apple isn’t your biller — go back to the statement check above.
If Google Play bills you
Play Store → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Fubo → Cancel subscription. Use the Google account that made the purchase.
We have not been able to confirm whether Google Play currently sells new Fubo
subscriptions. The Play listing for tv.fubo.mobile shows an in-app-purchases
label, but we could not isolate a Fubo-specific price on the page, so we’re
treating this as unconfirmed rather than asserting either way. If Google Play
shows a Fubo subscription in your account, the steps above cancel it. (Checked 28
July 2026.)
Nothing to do here for — carry on to the next step.
Cancel
If Fubo bills you directly
- Sign in at fubo.tv
- Pick any profile on the Who’s Watching? screen
- Click the settings icon → My Account
- Select Subscription
- Scroll to the bottom → Cancel
- Fubo offers you a discount to stay. Fubo’s own documentation is explicit here: “If you see this screen, your subscription isn’t canceled yet”. Click CANCEL SUBSCRIPTION, not REDEEM OFFER.
- A confirmation page appears. Click OK.
You are not cancelled until you see the confirmation page. Step 6 is where most people stop, believing they’re done.

If Roku bills you
Online: my.roku.com/subscription/subscriptions → Unsubscribe next to Fubo → Yes, Unsubscribe.
On the device: Home → highlight Fubo → ✱ (star button) → Manage subscription → Cancel subscription → confirm → Done.
You’ll keep seeing a Renew option until the paid period ends. That’s normal. It does not mean the cancellation failed.
Nothing to do here for — carry on to the next step.
Confirm it worked
Sign back in at fubo.tv/subscription. Logging in does not reactivate anything.
- Set to cancel — you’ll see the exact date and time access ends. Correct.
- Canceled — you’ll see options to reactivate. Also correct. Don’t click anything, and sign out.
What Fubo’s policy actually says
No refunds. You keep access until the end of the billing period you’ve already paid for, and cancelling mid-cycle does not get you money back.
“we do not provide refunds for prepaid or partial months of service” — Fubo’s cancellation policy
Most plans have no cancellation fee — but promotional plans can. This affects a minority of subscribers, not most. If you signed up on a standard monthly plan, there is no fee. If you took a discounted offer that asked you to commit for a set number of months, check your confirmation email for the commitment length before you cancel — the policy does not publish the fee amount.
“Most Fubo plans don’t include cancellation fees” … “an early cancellation fee may apply if you cancel before that period ends” — Fubo’s cancellation policy

Free trials work differently depending on who signed you up
This is the detail almost every guide gets wrong or omits, and it decides whether you lose access today or next week.
| You signed up via | Cancel during free trial | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Fubo website | Trial ends immediately | You lose access straight away |
| Roku | Trial ends at the end of the trial period | You keep access until it expires |
“your trial will expire immediately, and another free trial period will not be given” — Fubo, on cancelling a free trial via the website
So if you signed up on Fubo’s site and you’re mid-trial, you may want to wait until the last day. If you signed up through Roku, cancel now and keep watching.
Correcting two things you’ll read elsewhere
- No pause option exists. Fubo’s help centre: “Fubo does not offer the ability to pause or suspend subscriptions” (source, updated 22 May 2025). If you’re hunting for a pause button because another guide mentioned one, stop — it isn’t there, and you haven’t done anything wrong.
- We’re not publishing a price table. Two top-ranking pages for this query contradict each other on every plan and cite no source. An absent table beats a wrong one.
One thing that has nothing to do with cancelling
You may see a 2024 Illinois class action about Fubo sharing subscriber viewing data (Video Privacy Protection Act, docket 2024LA001460), reportedly settled for $3.4 million, while searching. It’s a privacy matter, not a cancellation one — it isn’t counted in the difficulty score above, and a settlement isn’t a finding of wrongdoing. Reported by ClassAction.org →
Still being charged after cancelling?
Work through these in order.
- Check who bills you, using step 1. Cancelling on Fubo’s site does nothing to a Roku-billed subscription.
- Check the date against your cycle end. A charge a few days after cancelling is usually the last legitimate one, since access runs to the end of the paid period.
- Still seeing channels? That may not mean anything. Fubo runs a free ad-supported tier. If you log in and see a “welcome back” message inviting you to restart, your paid subscription has already ended and what you’re watching is the free tier.
- A charge a full cycle later is worth disputing. Keep the confirmation page or email as evidence.
Fubo maintains a dedicated help article on being charged after cancelling, which tells you this is a known and recurring issue.
If the charge persists past the date your access was due to end, that is worth disputing with your bank — you have the cancellation confirmation, and the merchant name on the statement tells you which company to name.
You came here for one subscription
Most people have more than one recurring charge they’ve forgotten about — trials that converted, annual renewals for services used once, duplicate streaming plans across a household.
Fubo was the one you noticed on your statement.
You came here for Fubo. Paste your statement and see everything else that’s charging you. It never leaves your browser.
Frequently asked
Can I pause Fubo instead of cancelling?
No. Fubo does not offer pause or suspension. Cancelling and reactivating later is the only option, and reactivating is straightforward.
Will I get a refund for the rest of the month?
No. Fubo does not refund prepaid or partial months. You keep access until the period you’ve paid for ends.
Do I have to call anyone?
No. Both the Fubo and Roku paths are fully self-service online.
How do I know it actually worked?
Sign in at fubo.tv/subscription. It will show either the date access ends, or options to reactivate. Either state means you’re cancelled.
Can Fubo support cancel a Roku subscription for me?
No. Roku bills you, so Roku is the only one who can cancel it.
I cancelled but I can still watch. Did it fail?
Probably not. Either you’re inside the period you already paid for, or you’re seeing Fubo’s free ad-supported tier.
